This is the buildup thread for my 89 toyota. I bought it over the weekend and began to tear it apart yesterday. I knew this thing was rough but as i tore into it, it became worse and worse. Usually i can completely tear down a truck and cut the front clip off in 1 day, its taken me 2 just to get the body off this one. I had to destroy the wiring harnes along with half the fasteners so far (not that the harness wasnt destroyed already). The good side of this is that this is nothing i cant handle, and this is one hack job that will never see the road again. Im trying to rundown some more info on the person who built it, needless to say he shouldnt be building any more...

As i got it

And the lovely fabrication work

And again, all the work will be done at our shop The Sick Side. Plans are sfbd 3/4 frame also acting as the airtank, EDC, tri foward lever 4 link, black 18'' AR casinos, fix the HD hood, tacoma bed w/ pickup tailgate and smoother upper bodyline, alum fuel cell, flat red paint, and many other little goodies. I will drive this thing 6hrs to spring bash in april next year along with many other shows.

I will sell that cell in a heartbeat. Ive also got a 12gal airtank and the top 1/2 of a smoothed and painted dash. Eventually ill sell the 17'' KMC Elphs too.

As i work on this thing and come to another thing after another it just pisses me off even further. Its one thing for the adverage person to see this and think its a scary setup, but its another thing from my POV. But like i said before this is one less eyesore at a show and one less truck to come apart going down the hiway.

As far as i know theres no leaks in it, it sat for a year and its still 1/2 full. Theres 2 bungs in the bottom, 1 up top, the filler cap, and they have cut a hole in the top for the stock sending unit/pump (wich i will be keeping) I guess if you want it bad enough i can sell it to you for $20? Can you even shipp something like this that has been used?

Got more tore apart today...
