So as we begin to improve the sites we want to hear your ideas for either new sections to the forums or just new subsections for the current sections we have. so let the ideas fly!

Something that I see missing from most sites, is not just a truck tech section, but a Fabrication Tech section. Alot of times there are some things that only fabricators would be able to answer, like what degree to set my triangulated upper bars, or how to make the C-arm and A-arm.

Truck Tech, IMO should be for like "What tail lights fit in my truck?" or "What size bolt is..."

Just a thought.

Then he needs his own section so he can answer questions when he gets a chance. I agree with the fab portion. Just narrows down the questions a little more.

Some Updates!

As you know the Scene Sites are about to go through a major upgrade! Pre upgrade we have asked you guys what you felt about the current forum Sections/Sub Sections. Thank you for all the feed back. You guys have alot of good ideas, and also good ideas to add new features!

NYTRDR24 from MazdaBScene had a very good list of suggestions! The rest I collected I combined with his list.

Suggestions

Media
Photoshop Section

Tech
Fabrication Section

Tire Rim Section

Drive Train Forum
With Five subsections Engine, Tranny, Rear axle, Fuel system & Tech write ups pertaining to the drive train, then in the engine
sub section place the oem engines like you have now 2.6, 2.2, 2.0, 1.8, 1.6 plus have one for like now for engine swaps, in the Tranny sub section have a place for manual tranny & automatics and tranny swaps, then in the rear axle sub section have a place for solid axle, and one for independant rears, and maybe one for axle swaps. in the fuel system section everyone can post about fuel cells and such, then in the tech write up section everyone can put their tech articles pertaining to the drivetrain…

Chassis Forum
Sub sections for oem/static suspension, one for bags, one for juice, one for wheel/tire info, and one for tech write up pertaining to chassis.

Body Forum
Sub sections like you do now interior / exterior 94 & up, int/ext 86-93, int/ext pre-84, and a tech write up section.

Security & Audio
Sub sections for Security, Head units, speakers, video, boxes & consoles and maybe nav systems & a tech write up section.

Meets & Events
State by State Sections

Flea Market
Subsections for Parts for example Adjustable Suspension Section Classfieds

Site Specific
Dually Tech Section

Bump I'm going to start working on organizing the tech sections better tonight. I've been wanting to do this for awhile but I've finally set some time aside to start working on this.

If you guys have any ideas that we missed already feel free to post!

I think for our trucks we just need:

Pre 22r, i think 18R and 18-RC?
22r
22RE/22RET
V6
Swaps

Did the turbo systems come on carbed motors? if so, just include that in the R forum. breaking it down too much will just make the forum look super slow and slow down the turn around for answers. Just my opinion, others may (will probably) very.

For example, an outline of drivetrain section....

Engines
22r
22re/t
18r
swaps
Transmissions
auto
manual
swaps
Rear Ends
solid
IRS
swaps

it's basically what you said, but with toyota sizes/motors

for chassis/suspension maybe....

Suspension
static
bags
juice
Body Drops
traditional
stock floor
Fabrication
projects
tech/how to

If you want a well setup forum, look at s10 forum and how they are setup. thats the easiest forum to navigate.
