Hey... I did it on my buddies truck... just tack some 16 ga steel sheet across the backside of the vents, then fill the front side with fiberglass re-inforced body filler (kitty hair), mix the kitty hair so it is a slo drying batch (prevents cracking in the future) grind it smooth, do a glaze of bondo, maybe some icing, and paint it! it comes out pretty smooth!

^ thats not the best way to do it. If you do it yourself, cut the vents out and weld some sheetmetal in flush.

I would have bought a Grant cowl if mine was removable.
If you can find it cheaper, I can fix it.

true...true....but easy if you arent the best welder in the world...all we had was a stick welder, bondo and kittyhair...but we got it shaved- lol
