I,ve only tried it once,but I think I can do it a lot better with a little more practice.here's a pic of my first attempt,what do you think?

yank a fender or try in or try the hood. u kan allways sand it off if u dont like it... it looks nice from my bview... how did u learn to flam e like that? i kant even shade to a different color...

I have done flames two-tones and tribal art for years and I really like the way true-fire looks,I think I can get it right,but I did that one on a flat panel,maybe I need to try it on a fender like you said,something with some curves,it's hard to create movement on a flat panel.

i'd find some place that let you pull parts and just get a pos fender to practice on

Try it - if you don't like it change it or sell them. If you keep it to lets say the hood and tailgate then it is easy enough to re-do.

thanks,I was wanting to make it long,like to the front half of the bed,that seems more realistic to me,kinda like on fire at 90mph?

Then make them thin and wavy, not bunched together. Then it will look like fire hauling ass. Otherwise, just fire burning for a while.
If you can find it cheaper, I can fix it.

here is some real fire by the guy thats painting my yota, i think the difference in yours and his is that his has less french curve edges, i.e. hard edges, real fire doesnt have hard edges. good luck.

yeah I see.my problem is I am so used to doing traditional flame jobs I make the shapes without noticing.I'm gonna catch something on fire and take alot of pic's then try to recreate it with the airbrush,thanks for the pic-looks good!
