89-95 Rock guard Question

I shaved the rock guards off the bed.
Now the paint is all chipped where they used to be.
You guys have any suggestions on how to keep the paint from getting all chipped up?

shit happens, shouldnt of shaved em cuz thats why they made em plastic in the 1st place ! stop driving yur truck and it wont get chips ! lol

one option would be to NOT shave them..but smooth them out and paint them...then when they get chippid...repaint them...

lol....those things r ugly....
i shaved mine off...much better....
as far as chipping goes...mine was primerd....no prob here... LOL
