i have a question to pose to all of you. everyone pretty much well knows how im ridin as far as truck and everything else. well i dont know if this is just me or what, but while im riding, my truck vibrates like a mofo sometimes, but thats not the worst part, sometimes while im driving, and the road isnt too good, itll pull like a bastard (to the left and right) and when i make a stop at a stop light or something where the 18wheelers have fugged up the road it gets super worse, has anyone else experienced this. if so is there a remedy for it??

i had it REAL bad in the 4runner... replaced the front wheel bearings, and tightened them with the right amount of pre-load and its fine now. Gotta do the pass front on the mini now, its starting to reak out. ALSO, get an alignment (as close as they can get it to aligned anyway...lol)

well i did one time really harmonic balancer!!! up my front end, i replaced my rotors and forgot to regrease them and locked that mofo up. so i guess it may need some new ones i guess. the front i havent really done anything to it as far as dropping, im waiting to get some 2in spindles(3in if i can find them) to drop the front correctly

check your bearings, they may just need another turn to snug them up. Also check your tires for busted belts and/or missing weights.

The belts I had in questions were the belts in the tires themselves, not the motor. They have a tendency to break or twist and they will ride like shit.

It only takes one tire to be out of balance just a little to make a truck wobble.

yea i know that, the tires themselves look fine, i dont see anything that can resemble a broken belt. i did remember getting that tire i thought that was w/o a weight balanced a while back, so i have weights on all rims..their all balanced. i guess im going to have to chk my bearings, cuz it seemed like it was shaking a little worse this morning when i came to work

this usually results in an accompanying thump thump thump. you wont be able to tell by looking at them.

How are your rims centered? By lugs or do you need hub eccentric rings? Offcenter wheel on the hub will cause a Vib and it will act like a out of balance tire.
When you stop and the road is fugged is ok your rims are just getting pulled into the ruts in the road. Does it pull when you brake? Where do you feel the vib? In the steering wheel it's the front tires in your ass it's the rear.
Also like someone mentioned get your align check a spread in caster or camber will cause pulls
Camber pulls pos Caster pulls neg
Also a real wide spread in Caster will cause a shimmy in the steering wheel
Also check your steering stablizer if you have one. It is the shock on the drag link . If i'm not mistakened(?) these trucks have a pretty high caster settings and the stabilzer is there to get rid of som e of the vib

Not always, if its a sidewall belt it will still wobble like hell if its not hitting something.

whew im going to try to answer all these questions today. yes when i brake and i there are ruts in the road, it pulls like no other. almost feels like im driving FWD and im pulling off the line trying to hold on to make sure it doesnt slam into the wall.

i guess alignment will be the next thing i have to get looked at/done, b/c sometimes it aggravates the hell out of me.

i dont think i have/hear a thump thump thump while im riding, as far as the ride its usually smooth, just yesterday and other rare occasions does it shake like it did. so i think the belts in the tires are good, not to mention i have never curbed these tires and they have at least 50% tread left
