damn ya,mine used to be black,then it started to peel,the my truck got painted n the asses over at the shop painted over it without feeling off the other shit so now its the paint it peeling and its half blue half chrome,i tried to scrape it off but its a pain in the ass

Use a small, fine brass wire wheel. It'll take a bit of time but the paint will come off and you can polish it up to look damn near like new chrome.

koo ima try that n see,the parts i did scarpe off,the chorome looks nice on there but its a pain doin it.ima try that n see,thanx man
