Just got a 94 the a/c belt was not on the truck when I got the truck. Living in Texas and being a big guy I like my a/c. So I go to auto zone get a belt but it on charge it up. But now the truck dose not have any power like when the a/c if off is this the norm or could I have a problem! So long story short a/c off it takes off fast runs good a/c on slow docent like pulling hills.

Behind your glove box should be a small black electrical box with a turn dial on it. This controls the power draw for the a/c unit. If you turn it down, you'll feel more power. If you turn it up, you'll have better/colder blowing a/c. Set it about 1/4 of the way up. Should give you good power and a/c combo. 8)
