WONT STAY RUNNING, NEED HELP!!!!

86 yota, carbed 22r
just replaced the mech. fuel pump and it will pump gas and start but dies after like 2 sec.. it wont stay started.

well the shop said it's the carb.
it needs to be rebuilt and no one around here will rebuilt THAT KIND OF CARB.
so i just ordered a Weber conv. 2bbr kit for it.
i hope it fixes the problem.
spending money sucks!!!!!

Weber carbs are well worth the money! I love mine.

well i hope so. i dished out about 300.00 for the carb kit plus shipping.
the guy at weber said that the org. linkage wil fit right to this one.
so fare it sounds like it should be simple to do the conversion. he also said that it will give it a little bet better performance over stock. i told him i haven't even got to drive it yet much less hear it run for more then a 5 sec. or so. lol
