Big thing with an A on it looks like a resinator .It is connected thru the intake right?My smog guy told me to go home,cause he said i must of forgot to put mine back on..lol.(tried to get away with only a mini filter)

well i know it is a resonator but what is the valve looking thing? It isnt cconnected thru the intake it is actually connected to something else under the intake manifold.

well i am in Tx so i can take it off i am just really needing to know how to make the truck idle when i take it off. I took it off and it wont idle except for like 30 seconds and then it just chugs and dies.

Basically Toyota call it an opener.. It sits on the Carby, and is used to control the choke. that is why when you remove it your engine dies.
