Do you have to open it up from that big ol' plug on the very bottom or is there another that can drain? I'm not even sure if it has fluid as it was pulled and all for the stock floor. I pulled off two that held brackets and that was a no go...

to drain the oil in the tranny, If its in the truck the only way you'll get it all out is to unscrew the big drain plug at the bottom of the trans. if the tranny is out you can hold it bellhousing up and let the oil drain out of the tail shaft. not sure if its the best way but ive done it like that before only because i had it out and on an engine hoist. Once the tranny is in the truck, to fill it with gear oil there should be a plug on the left side about mid way. fill with oil until it starts to pour out and put the plug in. it should hold roughly 3 quarts...maybe a little less.
