Can it be done? If so how? If you have please post some pics or wire diagrame or some thing.

When I had my 88 Toyota back in high school I had an aftermarket tach in it...dont quote me on this, but I want to say that you run the green wire to the positive side of the ignition coil, black for the ground & then its either white or red for power. You wont need all the wires cause they are for the V6 & V8 model cars/trucks. Let me know how many wires are coming out the back of the tach & what color they are too. Well figure it out.
eh..i'd hit it...with a dump truck!

Well i did some digging on the web and found a diagram of how to hook up the tach.
It has (4) wires red, black, white & green

red- batt. voltage terminal on fuse box
black - ground (of course)
white - splice into dimmer switch wire
green - neg. side of coil or if equiped tach terminal on distributor.

With a redline of 5500 it definitely did not come out of a diesel truck. I would assume its from a 22rte truck.

Well to tell the truth, i would not know where to start to hook up a dash cluster like that. I think i'm going to try to fab a fiberglass type housing to mount to the left hand upper side of the dash board and see what that looks like if all else fales i'll mount it to the top side of the collum temp. till i fig out a better place to put it. Maybe under the hood next to the coil. naaaaaaaaaaaaa that would be just dumb. lol
