1. Have to spray carb cleaner to get it too start.
2. Float was filling up completely (only supposed to be half way)
3. Smoking REALLY bad

The float was stuck, and we unstuck it, when we did that i think it put the float in the wrong spot, causing to flood and burn excess gas and smoke. So I am having a carb that has a stuck float in it too get rebuilt right now. Do all theese problems sound like a rebuild problem? Oh and the accelerator pump was screwey so I think thats why it wouldnt start. If that doesnt fix the other problems what could it be? Vaccum???

yeh my carb used to just DUMP gas into the float area and it wouldn't run worth a damn. Had it rebuilt about 4 months ago been good ever since, make sure you replace the float when you rebuild it though. Sometimes they will get holes so small you can't even see, but enough to let in some gas and throw off the whole balance.
Drinking beer won't give me abs of steel, but situps won't get me drunk
