 Post subject: plastic chunks in oil pan

i removed my oil pan to section it and found plastic chunks in the oil pan. any idea what it could be.

most likely is you timing chain guides.

they get worn down and break off, then the chain eats through the timing cover and you get water in your oil. how many miles are on the motor?

^^^yep,what I was thinking,you can here the chain hitting the cover,and yep it will eventually rub through and mix oil and coolant.mine rubbed through once,but noticed it right away before any further damage-it sucks.you'll prob. be fine for a while until it starts chattering,but I would go ahead and get a new 1 with new guides:wink:

It has 210,000 + Thanks for the info guys will replace all of it chain and all while I am in there.
