need help stater will not engage..

well i have finaly got back on my yota and installed my painted trany and when we went to start it all that happens is the relay in the cab clicks and no power at the starter.. if anyone has had this prob before or has any ideap help me out ..thanks,

im having the same problem.. are both the relays inside the cab clicking? theres one on the driver side near the fuse panel i think thats the starter relay. then theres a circuit opening relay on the passenger side.. check all your efi and ignition fuses make sure those arent blown. just for shits check to make sure the battery has 12v. thats about all i can give you for now. everything on mine is clicking and the starter solenoid clicks but it wont turn over.

try tapping the starter itself sometimes the starter will lock up when it gets worn out.

Yeah, definantly make sure to check your battery too..

my new truck does this try turning the key really fast multiple times sometimes takes a little while but thats what starts mine the selinoid sticks

Have to have 12.5 volts at the battery!!!
