Thinking about putting a turbo on the yota once i get it back. Ive been hearing these 22r motors run more efficient and get more MPG with a small turbo on them. Not really looking to make the truck faster, but obviously it will be.
Whats the best turbo i should be looking for?

if efficency is what you are looking for i would think a fuel injected 22re would be better with a turbo then a carborated 22r, i have always liked holset or garrett... and they come on pretty much any factory turbo vehicle and are easy to rebuild...but there are TUNS of different turbos to fit your need...

I've thaught about an Eclipse turbo or similar. It helps if you can build your own manifold. I'm just going to get a normal header and some j-bends, run an oil line, and try it out. I hope to find a turbo at the junk yard. If I get one out of a wreck, then atleast I know it was working.

^^haha....you'll do it sooner or later.

why not run a turbo? its like getting free hp for your motor... you may have to wait for a little bit of spool time (which anymore have gotten less and less) but with a super charger doesnt it take hp to make hp?
