dude, i cant break the bolt loose holding that pulley on... been trying for 4 hours lol..
i cant find anything on the back of the motor to put a bar in so i can break this fucker loose... ive tried my air impact, breaker bars.. nothing... wtf??
ive put it in gear,had my wife hod the brake down.. shit still rotates pulley..
anyone know what i should do?
at this point im ready to sell the son of a bitch..

im having the same problem too. I had the engine on the stand. spark plugs in, and it just spun the crank. tried both the impact, and the breaker bar.

an impact should remove it with no problems, if your going the right direction.

Take your breaker bar and 19mm six point socket, put the breaker bar handle against the BOTTOM of the frame rail on the passenger side or on the TOP of the frame rail on the drivers side, pull the coil wire, or unplug the distributor, just so it wont start, hold the breaker bar assembly just so it won't fall out and you have clearance to stay out of the way, then have someone hit the key like trying to start the engine, it pops them loose easily. Engine out of the rig can sometimes be a real pain, either impact or have had to resort to a chisel to break it loose.

wow, truck sounds alot better now..

anyone know how to mess with the timing?
when i let it idle, and i give it a little gas, it kinda cuts out then revs up..
