Hey,i know this is probally fairly simpleton ,but i'm in a bind.

My tags are expired, cat's blown, got a new one. But but entire exhaust is onepeice all the way up to the manifold. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it out without taking out that cross member, torsion arm and sway bar. Is it really that hard? or am i missing something?

I just need to get the fucking thing out,so i can weld in the new cat.

I swear the only things That go wrong with my truck are the easy ones that are impossible to get to,or remove. Add to that I live 3mins from a town that doesn't require emissions.

It's an 87 Hilux,by the way,sorry.

any help would be more than appreciated. little shit like that frustrates me so much i may burn the thing down.

if there are no bolted joints then you have aftermarket exhaust. cut it out and weld in the new one.

yea, someone hacked in a cat at some point in its life. The problem is i really dont have the money for anything. The cat was expensive enough, and i still have to pay for emissions and get a new tag.

Right now i just need to slap this new cat in and save some money. I can't even afford a ticket for the tags right now. Which is all the lovelier since the cops in this town are re-fucking-diculous. I get followed at least once a day. My truck is stock and I drive the exact speedlimit.

like i said...I'm in a bit of a bind.

So back to the question,do really need to take all that shit out,or can I shimmy it out?

what about clamps? Their cheap and easy. cut the old out and clamp the new in or if you dont have to worry about emissions just find a piece of pipe to replace it with.

what kinda clamps? and yes, emmissions is the whole problem. I live 3mins from a town that doesn't require them, but mine does.
