22r head work?? worth it???

okay guys, give me some opinions, i have a 22r in my truck now with the mains knocking... i bought a parts truck with a 22r with a blown head gasket, would it be worth my time and money to get the head shaved ported and polished or just slap it on and ride???

gimme some advice please, thanks guys....

If you have to it take apart,then put back together stronger!
Yes do the whole engine if lots of miles on it!
And not stock parts!! :mrgreen:

If the head gasket is blown, it's always a good idea to have the head surfaced.

Also, I had the head on my 20R machined for oversized valves, with mild porting, and a mild cam, and it made a big difference.
